My long Thanksgiving holiday week stretched out and out. We traveled to Ark. and were with our oldest daughter and her family. All the kids ended up joining us and so we had all 10 of us under one roof for the parts of 5 days. It was a true time of blessing and wonderfulness. I love family! I love holiday gatherings and all that is involved. My grandbaby girls are amazing.

It’s incredible to me how we can anticipate something so strongly, prepare for it so diligently, and then wonder if it will ever happen … and it all comes to this: it’s over and done. The experience becomes a memory along side millions of other memories we hold dear to our hearts. I loved our time with the children and grandbabies and now, poof! It’s over and I’m left with more heart treasures. Ah, life, such a mixture of shades of emotions … brilliant, somber, pale, shining.
All in all, God is very good.
