Working from home is not for everyone just as home schooling is not for all families. Some of us are not self-motivated, and there are others that function better in social situations, still others enjoy the routine of regular hours and then leaving a job at the ‘job’.

But for us that are interested in running our own show, being our own boss, and fulfilling that inner voice that says – ‘go for it, you can do this’ – there are many, varied ways and means to work from home. I am among those that have had the dream of working from home for years. I have tried this and that and for whatever the reason haven’t had the success I imagined. For me, personally, I ended up a part of companies that ended up with me being a ’sales’ person and unfortunately I never got to the point where it was a joy. The part of my jobs I did love was the motivational and friendship connection and I loved writing – I could write emails and visit all day. I wouldn’t say I was a failure either – in fact, when I applied myself I was relatively successful. However, priorities for me were shifted and my focus was taken off of being productivity.

I have tried several ‘opportunities’ and although I love the companies I have been associated with I have to admit my ’success’ has not been there. Does that mean I am a failure? No. Does it mean I am lazy? No. Does it mean that I am destined to be a non-producer in a chosen field? Absolutely not!

For this reason and that (and I have indulged in my share of  ‘excuses’ ) I did not find what I intended. I have learned much, however and with each supposed ‘failure’ I have grown, learned and been successful in other ways. Am I speaking to anyone out there?

Carrie Wilkerson first came into my life a little over a year ago. I came upon her quite by accident when she wrote an article for an inspirational newsletter I get daily. I was so impressed with this article that I signed up for her newsletter, joined her fan page on facebook , watched some meaningful videos and have been a part of numerous classes and teleseminars hosted by her. Carrie is also known as The Barefoot Executive  which was a nickname that turned into her brand. Anyone and everyone in the world of Internet marketing know.
